Rock and Roll Moot Court Festival

Join us for the Rock and Roll Moot Court Festival, the nation’s only moot court competition devoted entirely to the music industry. Whether intellectual property, contracts, criminal  law or constitutional claims, this unique  two-day event brings together all areas of law in one loud, proud, and unforgettable showcase.

Sponsored by Cleveland State University College of Law, the competition will take place on January 16 and 17, 2026—just steps from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This festival combines the intensity of oral advocacy with the spirit of rock and roll. Law students from across the country will argue cutting-edge music law issues before top judges and practitioners, all while soaking in the sound of a city that defined a genre.

Law meets legend. Briefs meet backbeats. Are you ready to take the stage??
