Primary Information

Bio

Visiting Professor and Judge Jennifer Kinsley currently sits on Ohio’s First District Court of Appeals. She joins CSU Law from Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law, where she holds a tenured appointment. Over her 24 years in legal education, Judge Kinsley has taught a wide range of doctrinal and experiential courses, including constitutional and criminal law, civil procedure, and trial advocacy. She also previously managed a robust clinical externship program. An expert on the First Amendment, Judge Kinsley's scholarship on the intersection of free expression and crime appears in leading law reviews, including the Emory Law Journal, the Case Western Law Review, and the Harvard Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law, and her civil rights work has been featured by The Washington Post, NPR, and The Oxygen Network. A two-time Professor of the Year, Judge Kinsley frequently devotes her time to her students and the community. She is a passionate college football fan, a word game enthusiast, and the mother of five wonderful adult children.
