At CSU College of Law, every applicant who is admitted to the law school as a first-year student is automatically considered for a scholarship award. Scholarships are awarded competitively as part of the admission process.
Law school scholarships that are awarded to entering students are guaranteed throughout law school. Like all law schools that offer a guaranteed, unconditional scholarship, you must, of course, maintain good academic standing (2.25 GPA). There is no special application process; simply apply for admission to the college and you will be considered for a scholarship award.
Scholarships for first-year JD students are awarded based on an applicant’s academic merits. While undergraduate grades and LSAT scores are the primary factors in determining scholarships, we do factor in other personal and professional attributes of our applicants.
External Scholarships: We encourage all law students to pursue external scholarship opportunities that are managed and awarded by organizations and intuitions independently of the law school. These scholarships have a wide range of award values and are targeted at students with a variety of backgrounds and interests. Additionally, external scholarships each have a unique set of application criteria and students should be mindful of these details as they apply.
The law school maintains a list of external scholarships about which we have been notified. View the list of external scholarships
