Some legal employers come on campus to recruit law clerks or for permanent positions. Others prefer to have applications sent directly to them or to have the Office of Student and Career Services collect them (resume collect). Although firms and organizations are welcome to come on-campus any time, there are two general on-campus interview programs that are available to all of our College of Law students.
The Fall Recruiting Program is designed to meet the needs and timing deadlines of larger organizations and corporate counsel offices, for connecting with students in their second-year of law school and thereafter.
The Spring Recruiting Program is held for mid-size and smaller organizations that may not know their hiring needs two or three years in advance, and also allows employers to connect with first-year students.
Employers also recruit year-round, using job postings, networking events, and considering applicants who reach out directly to the employer.
Student and Career Services works with all students to leverage all ways to connect with legal employers.
