Description

"Learn Law. Live Justice" is the motto of our law college. We know what it is to learn law.  But what about justice?  We are lawyers and our calling is to serve justice. How do we do that? The course will focus on the notion of justice as seen in writings of significant philosophers, and in plays, novels, and movies. We shall apply and discuss the ideas of justice to the real problems of human law and human action today, and we shall ponder what it is to be a just person. The course is designed for students without a significant background in philosophy. It satisfies the upper-level writing requirement.
