Frederick Douglass Moot Court Team Finishes in Top Four at Nationals

C|M|LAW students Brandon Cox and Theophilus Hudson placed among the top four teams in the country at the National Black Law Students Association’s (NBLSA) Frederick Douglass Moot Court Championships held in Houston, Texas, March 9 - 13.

The student champions won first place in the Midwest contest held in February in Chicago.

The Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition (FDMCC) began in 1975. Each year, between 100 and 125 teams from across the country compete within six regional competitions, with the top three teams from each region advancing to the national competition. Last year C|M|LAW’s Black Law Students Association (BLSA) sent a team to the FDMCC for the first time in ten years, with that team earning a third place at regionals and a trip to the nationals. C|M|LAW’s Tierra Ndegwa won Best Oralist at the national contest.
