Not a week goes by when I don’t receive a positive message about our law school. As the fall semester comes to an end, I’m pleased to share some of those emails I’ve received this year. I will share many more in future messages.

You told me that if I came to CSU Law, I would have the support system I need to thrive in law school, and I could not have fathomed the kind of support I received from the CSU Law Family…. “Just so you know, the students at CSU Law are top-notch….Unlike what you may read about terms like “wokeness” or “cancel culture,” the learning atmosphere at this law school does not contain those divisive elements. Everyone’s views are encouraged and the entire point of your education is to learn to express disagreements in a non-disagreeable form. As you will soon learn, dissents often become majority views; this is true not only in the case law you will read, but in life, political and personal. “When I applied, you sent every student a copy of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird…..Last week I tested positive for COVID….I decided that my week in isolation would be best served by starting and finishing a book. And so, my week was spent with Scout, Atticus, and the residents of Maycomb, Alabama … an important reminder that the world needs more folks like Atticus Finch. I know you and the rest of the staff will continue to create them.” -4LE Student
“Our law school means so much more to me than the name. It's the deans who empathically listened while I cried and doubted myself, it's the professors who answered endless questions all the way up to the exam, it's the administration that went out of their way to make sure we are successful and smiling…. Yes, I am an African American student who felt the name should be changed; however…..I respect those who have a different perspective. Thank you for the memories! ”– 2022 Graduate
