“If you hire people just because they can do a job, they’ll work for your money. But if you hire people who believe what you believe, they’ll work for you with blood and sweat and tears.” – Simon Sinek
What is the secret to a city’s, region’s or state’s economic success?
The answer is remarkably clear. Among most economists, it’s not in dispute. The clear answer is the link between educational attainment, talent, and workforce development. At CEOs for Cities, the national urban innovation network I led for six years, we called it the Talent Dividend.
At CSU C|M|LAW, we have built the most reliable legal talent pipeline in Northeast Ohio for recruiting and educating students with a deep understanding of law, leadership, innovation, and emerging issues for our city, region, and nation.
Employers often tell us that what distinguishes our graduates from other law schools’ graduates is grit, perseverance, and work ethic. Let us help you add this talent pool to your team.
Our CSU C|M|LAW Student and Career Services professional team is the primary point of contact for local, regional, and national employers to hire our talented law students and graduates. By working with our team, employers participate in on-campus interview programs, develop comprehensive recruitment strategies to engage students and graduates, participate in networking events, connect with our student organizations, and more.
I encourage you work directly with Assistant Dean Sarah Beznoska (s.beznoskanull@csuohio.nulledu) to evaluate your hiring needs and determine the best way for you to connect with our talent.
Currently, we are seeking alumni to meet with members of our upcoming May 2022 graduates to assist them in polishing their skills for the permanent employment market. To volunteer, click here.
We can create resume books from specific class years for your review, invite you to campus for information sessions to students, and have your attorneys participate in mock interview programs, mentoring, and more. If you need to add a newly licensed attorney to your team right now, we have graduates who are ready to fill that need.
As our Spring semester continues, Student and Career Services is hosting ongoing on-campus (or virtual) interviews for all employers to consider our students. On-campus interview programs provide the opportunity to advertise your hiring need to students, receive applicant materials in one packet, make interview selections, and have our team create an in-person or virtual interview schedule for you on the day of your choice. Registration is available here.
For rolling basis hiring needs, we post jobs year-round on our jobs board here, from which you can consider students and graduates and invite them to your offices for interviews if you choose.
If you are a member of our alumni network, we will also connect you to individual students through our strategic mentoring opportunities for students.

We are your Talent Dividend.
