“It usually takes me more than three weeks to prepare a good impromptu speech.” - Mark Twain
“There are always three speeches…The one you practiced, the one you gave, and the one you wish you gave.” -Dale Carnegie
Each year, for the past 8 years, I have continued the tradition of giving the “Dean’s State of the Law School” presentation in which I share my thoughts on CSU Law’s past, present, and future.
Most years, I and past CSU Law Deans have invited a small audience of faculty and staff, but this year, because it will be my last such presentation, I would like to invite a wider audience of our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders.
Please join me on Tuesday, April 29, 12 noon in the Moot Court Room. Box lunches will be available.
I recognize that most of these kinds of addresses and presentations are remembered only by those who gave them, so I have no delusions about the importance of my remarks. But April 29 is also the last day of classes before final exams, so it’s also a chance for us to celebrate the end of another successful and memorable academic year.
I hope you can attend. As we get closer to the date, we’ll ask for RSVPs, but for now, please just save the date.
Thanks.
Have a great day and a great week!
