Monday Morning Message 4.22.19 Announcing the 2019 CMLAW Hall of Fame Inductees and 2019 Leader on the Rise!

“Standing in the hall of fame…. Cause you burn with the brightest flame.” -  “Hall of Fame”, The Script

“As one of the students who attended the Hall of Fame Celebration, I can’t tell you enough how inspiring it was to learn about our incredible alumni, founding honorees, and other law school supporters in the community.”

“As a 1L student, last night served as an incredible reminder of why I wanted to be a part of this community in the first place. To be a part of a night that honored all of the incredible individuals that have made it possible for me and others to be where we are was a remarkable experience…”

It was a very special evening that surely we will all cherish in the years to come. To experience the diversity of this group and hear about the range of ways each has contributed to the profession and the community at large was impressive. It was truly an honor to be included in this outstanding group of colleagues.” - Kelly Tompkins ’81, 2017 Hall of Fame Inductee, C|M|LAW Leader-in-Residence

The Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (C|M|LAW) Hall of Fame was created in the summer of 2017, C|M|LAW’s 120th anniversary year, to honor those exceptional leaders who have contributed to the past, present, and/or future success and reputation of C|M|LAW. The inductees include living and deceased alumni, faculty, deans, staff, and community leaders. Current full-time faculty and staff are not eligible. See Hall of Fame Selection Criteria

We had over 200 worthy nominations for induction this year, and our Hall of Fame Selection Committee, which consists of a number of past Hall of Fame inductees as well as some staff and faculty, selects up to 25 inductees each year.

We are very fortunate that there is no shortage of worthy individuals, and we look forward to inducting many other extraordinary people next year and in future years. If you know someone who you believe should be inducted in the 2020 Hall of Fame, please nominate them here: nominations. Please also send your nomination to Amy Miller at a.l.miller86null@csuohio.nulledu

I am very pleased to announce this year’s 2019 C|M|LAW Hall of Fame Honorees as well as the 2019 C|M|LAW Leader on the Rise. (Note: the C|M|LAW Leader On The Rise Award, given each year at the Hall of Fame Celebration, is awarded to an outstanding alumna or alumnus who has graduated within the past 10 years.

Please see our announcement of the Honorees below.

Please join us on Friday, October 25, 2019 5:30-8pm for our 3rd Annual C|M|LAW Hall of Fame Celebration.

We will have the special opportunity to honor these very distinguished leaders who have contributed to the great success of our law school. The Hall of Fame event has become the signature annual event of our law school. For a list of all members of our Hall of Fame, visit: 2017, 2018 C|M|LAW Hall of Fame Inductees

This is our single best opportunity to raise funds for student scholarships during the entire year. Please see
