“The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written.” —Melody Beattie
Each of our students is writing a new chapter in their lives. But it’s not a solo journey. All of us have a role to play as co-authors.
Please be a co-author of a student’s next chapter by making a year-end gift to support our students.
We have much to be proud of. With our 48% increase in enrollment since 2016, our #1 ranking as the top public law school in Northern Ohio, and our 12 nationally ranked specialty law programs – we are a law school that keeps raising the bar. See Raising the Bar for 125 Years
But despite our many successes, our students have challenges.
Among the many deserving year-end requests you receive, please consider helping our law students overcome financial barriers to their success. Increasingly, our students face unforeseen emergency expenses and financial burdens that prevent them from devoting the time, focus, and resources they need to succeed.
So I’m asking you to give a year-end gift to one of these three student-focused funds:
- Student Emergency Financial Assistance Fund - Help our students overcome unforeseen financial emergencies.
- Bar Passage Assistance Fund - Help our graduates overcome the financial costs of preparing for the Bar Exam.
- Learn Law Live Justice Annual Fund - As our most flexible source of donor support, help us be nimble and responsive to the immediate needs of our students as new challenges arise.
Of course, please feel free to make a gift to any of the funds listed at the above link.
Please make your year-end gift and support our students’ dreams by December 31, 2023. No gift is too small.
For more than 125 years, we have educated and trained the future custodians of civility, defenders of democracy, and guardians of justice. It’s a sacred trust that we take very seriously.
At a time when political polarization has reached new heights and political discourse has reached new lows, a quality legal education is the single best investment in preparing a new generation of leaders to advance justice, civility, and the rule of law.
Have a Happy, Safe, and Healthy Holiday and New Year!
