Monday Morning Message 10.7.24 Carrying the Torch

“Life is no ‘brief candle’ to me. It is sort of a splendid torch which I have a hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it over to future generations.” ― George Bernard Shaw

“Words cannot express the gratitude I have for the scholarship you all have so kindly decided to offer me…You all have given me the opportunity to fulfill my destiny and for that I am forever grateful ! My son will one day be able to say that his mother was given a chance despite financial hardship, and this blessing can teach him that if you dream big enough, no obstacle will be big enough.”  -recent 1L Student

Please join us for our 7th Annual CSU|LAW Hall of Fame Celebration on Friday, November 1, 2024, 5:30-8:30pm at the Cleveland State University Student Center Glasscock Ballroom, 2121 Euclid Ave.  See the 2024 Hall of Fame honorees here and see the below invitation.

Our 2024 Hall of Fame Inductees have carried the torch of our mission and have made it burn brightly. They have used their voices and their knowledge of the law to make real change and to make a real difference.

If you are considering donating to our law school before year-end, there is no better time than now by supporting our signature event -the only annual fundraising event sponsored by our Law School.

Our annual Hall of Fame event gives us the opportunity not only to honor our distinguished inductees, but also to raise much-needed funds for student scholarships and other critically important student-focused needs.

Our Hall of Fame was established in 2017 to honor the outstanding contributions to the success and prestige of our law school by distinguished alumni, community leaders, and former deans, faculty and staff. For a complete list of all the members of our Hall of Fame, go here: Hall of Fame Members.

Hope you can join us, but even if you can’t, I hope you’ll support our Hall of Fame Celebration!

Go Guardians!
