Monday Morning Message 1.7.19: Guideposts for 2019

Each January I choose 12 quotes, one for each month of the year, to serve as my guideposts for the coming year. My quotes for 2018 and 2017 can be found here: January 8, 2018 MMM /January 9, 2017 MMM

So here’s some wisdom to live by in 2019.

  • “Tear down walls. Build bridges. Light fires.” –Steve Jobs
  • “The greatest mistake a person can ever make is to be afraid of making one.” -Elbert Hubbard
  • “The best way out is always through.” –Robert Frost
  • “The future is already here; it’s just not evenly distributed.” –William Gibson
  • “People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.” –George Bernard Shaw
  • “The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” –Mark Twain
  • “Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right.” –Henry Ford
  • “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” –Oscar Wild
  • “The world breaks everyone, and afterward, some are strong at the broken places.” –Ernest Hemingway
  • “People ask me sometimes when will there be enough women on the Supreme Court? And my answer is: ‘When there are nine.’” -U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
  • “Anything can happen if you let it.” –Mary Poppins
  • “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." –Mark Twain

Please join us on Friday, January 25, 5-7pm for our Happy New Year-Back to School Reception (invitation below).
