MLS Student Tony Mansoor Named to Cleveland’s Cybersecurity Leadership Bench
Tony Mansoor, a student in CSU Law’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Master of Legal Studies program, was named to CISO Whisperer’s “Cleveland’s Cybersecurity Leadership Bench,” a September feature on the security chiefs protecting the region’s hospitals, universities, utilities, manufacturers, and financial institutions. He appears alongside security leaders from Cleveland Clinic, Case Western Reserve University, FirstEnergy, and Parker Hannifin.
Mansoor is Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Director at Cleveland State University, where his career spans more than two decades. He joined CSU in 2006 as a desktop and server specialist overseeing student technicians. He rose through security administration and management roles and two directorships over infrastructure, security operations, and technical support, and was named CISO in July 2025. Today his portfolio covers identity and access management, data governance, compliance, cloud adoption, and AI governance across the university.
Few practitioners bring more real-world context to the classroom, and the MLS program is built for exactly this kind of leader: professionals who need fluency in the legal and regulatory frameworks that now shape every security decision.
